The joints use a slippery fluid called hyaluronic acid to keep them lubricated and protected.
Viscosupplementation injections use a hyaluronic acid compound to cushion and lubricate the joint. These injections are often performed once per week for three to five weeks and are typically covered by insurance.
We have seen excellent results using these injections in combination with laser therapy and exercises.
